Explore and Enjoy Baccarat, Punto Banco
In baccarat, punto banco also being its alternative name, the playing space in the casino is usually apart from the other games. There are three casino dealers involved in baccarat, punto banco games, and as many as 12 to 14 players can join in.
Baccarat, punto banco games have basically two major bets: Punto or Banco, meaning on the player or on the banker. The dealers can be the players themselves, or there is an official casino dealer, depending on casino policies. In baccarat, punto banco games, each player can make a bet on either two; the dealer usually bets on the Banco. An option for players not to deal is also available.
Betting in baccarat, punto banco is similar to betting on Black or Red in roulette. Two hands will be dealt, each hand consisting of 2 to 3 cards. The dealer will put the first two cards under the shoe, and the second hand is given to the player who bet the most on Punto. This player then returns the second hand to the dealer/player after looking at them. Then the cards will be turned face up and a casino dealer declares the hands and the winner. When the two hands are dealt, players can bet on which hand wins, or that the two hands will tie.
Each win gives even money, but winning by betting on Banco will have the player having to pay 5% on commission or tax to the casino. This is due to the Banco's higher chances of winning (75%) over the Punto bet. Winning hands are the ones with the highest value. The highest value for one hand is 9.
Baccarat, punto banco games are played using six to eight-deck "shoes". Cards with 10 as well as face cards have a value of 0. Aces are valued at 1, and the rest follow their own numbers. The suits do not count for anything in this game. When a hand reaches a total of a two-digit value, only the right digit will determine its value. For example, when the total of one hand reaches 18, its value will be 8.
Baccarat, punto banco's 3rd card principle
If one of the two hands dealt get an 8 or 9 value, that hand is called a 'natural', and no more cards will be dealt.
A third card is dealt when the player's hand has a value of 5 or lower.
Any other things beyond these can spell a different game for the player already.
